Jill is an 11-year Air Force veteran and currently works for the Department of Defense. Jill joined CrossFit ReVamped in September 2012, and soon there after her entire family was working out at the box. She received her Level 1 Certification in February 2014 and her CrossFit Kids Certification in August 2014. Jill is scheduled is receive her Gymnastics Certification in late October 2014. Jill began student teaching various genres of dance and acrobatics while in high school and college. After moving to Maryland, she began coaching cheerleading for Ft. Meade Youth Services and went on to coach for the Columbia Ravens. Jill has also been involved in coaching her sons’ sports teams to include soccer and baseball.
“Growing up I was always involved in some type of activity or sport to include dance, gymnastics, cheerleading, softball, and track. In high school, I got hooked on working out during the offseason for track. I was fortunate enough to have a coach that worked with us year-round and stressed the importance of weight training. CrossFit incorporates a little bit of everything I enjoy, and I love that it’s getting me back into gymnastics.
Fast-forward to a busy life of work, school, and kids activities and no time for working out. I saw many friends having these crazy amazing results with CrossFit so I decided to give it a try in September of 2012. I was hooked after my first night, and soon my youngest son began asking when ReVamped would get CrossFit Kids. Once Alea started the program, I knew I wanted to get my certification so I could coach kids. I feel it is important to teach children the importance of physical fitness, staying active, and leading a healthy lifestyle at an early age. CrossFit is a part of my family’s daily routine just like so many other families at ReVamped.”
